Terms of WhereFrom Pro
Last updated: 17 October 2026
WhereFrom is a Chrome extension made by Ahmed Gamal, an independent developer in Egypt (“we”). WhereFrom is free to use. WhereFrom Pro is a paid license that turns on more features of the design check. These terms apply when you buy or use WhereFrom Pro.
Who sells WhereFrom Pro
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries about payments and handles returns. When you buy, you also accept Paddle’s buyer terms.
What you get
- The free features of WhereFrom stay free: tracing values to their API responses, search, page colors, screenshots, videos, bug reports, and the design check with its score, differences, marks and overlay.
- WhereFrom Pro adds compare on hover, inspecting the design’s CSS, CSS fixes, screenshot reports, re-checking when the page changes, and all saved checks. We may add, improve or change Pro features over time. We will not take away the core of what Pro was when you bought it during the period you paid for.
- A 14-day free trial of Pro is built into the extension. It needs no card, and nothing is charged when it ends.
Your license
- Each purchase gives one license key, for one person. You may use it on up to 3 computers at a time. You may sign computers out and in again, within reasonable limits.
- Your company may buy a license for you. Each person who uses Pro needs their own key.
- Do not share, sell or publish your key, and do not try to get around the license check. We may turn off a key that is shared or misused.
Plans, renewals and cancelling
- Pro monthly and Pro yearly are subscriptions. They renew automatically at the end of each month or year, at the price you agreed to, until you cancel.
- Cancel at any time from “Manage subscription” in WhereFrom Pro, or from the link in Paddle’s emails. Pro keeps working until the end of the period you already paid for. Nothing more is charged.
- Pro lifetime is a single payment. It gives Pro, with its updates, for as long as WhereFrom is offered.
- Prices may change for new purchases. If the price of your subscription is going to change, you will be told before your next renewal, and you can cancel before it applies.
- Promo codes apply as stated when they are offered, for example to the first payment only, or for as long as you keep your subscription. A code that has ended or reached its limit cannot be used.
Refunds
You can get a full refund within 14 days of any payment. See the refund policy.
Using WhereFrom
- Use WhereFrom only on sites you are allowed to inspect, and with Figma files you are allowed to read.
- WhereFrom reads pages inside your browser. To check your license, it sends your key and a random ID of the installation to our license server. Read the privacy policy.
- The design check compares a page with a design and makes suggestions, such as CSS fixes. Review what you copy before you use it.
No warranty
WhereFrom and WhereFrom Pro are provided “as is”. We work to keep them correct and available, but we do not promise that they are free of errors, that every difference is found, or that the license server is never down. If the license server cannot be reached, Pro keeps working for 14 days.
Limit of liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits or data, from using or not being able to use WhereFrom. Our total liability for WhereFrom Pro is limited to what you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract.
Ending
You can stop using WhereFrom Pro at any time. We may end a license that breaks these terms. If we ever stop offering WhereFrom Pro, we will say so in advance, and subscriptions will not renew after that.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters for your subscription, you will be told before it applies.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Egypt, without limiting the consumer protection laws of the country you live in.
